Title: Papua New Guinea Tank Update
Post by: MarquisMirage on March 26, 2017, 11:23:18 AM
Hi all,

I'm playing with the idea of creating a youtube channel at the moment.  I wanted to give you an update on the PNG tank so you can see how the natural look/plants/fish are getting on.  It was a good opportunity for me to play around with the editing software.  There's also a bit showing the forktails in their grow out tank.

Let me know what you think of the video please and any tips you may have.

Wow I love it  8)

A couple of thoughts only to help improve on an already fantastic video...
1) ensure the tank glass is free from algae
2) consider using a trip is to get steadier images

That's really good.

A few random thoughts to add... I'd've liked to have seen a whole tank shot; the music ended too soon.

Thanks for the comments.

@Matt A tripod is definitely something that will help.  Are you referring to algae on front of the aquarium, on deco/plants, or the back of the tank?  I clean the algae off the front with a razorblade.  As it's a natural tank the rest of the algae is left alone.  Once the plants get denser and cover more the algae should decrease.

@ColinB The first 10 seconds were originally full tank but the stabilize option in youtube made the outer parts disappear.  Did you want it so you could see the whole of the aquarium so you could see the type of aquarium?  The music ended around 6 seconds too soon.  I used one of the free options they had a lot of which isn't suitable for a calm view of an aquarium.

I'd like to see the whole tank just for effect, to see the lanscaping etc.... and to steal ideas for when I get a bigger tank! ;D
