Looking happy in their new home.

Lovely tank.

Beautiful.
PS. Everyone's so good at taking photos of their fish, it puts me to shame.

They are lovely! :)

I'm VERY envious :), I'd love to be able to keep rams but my water is far too hard. Nice tank btw.

How hard is your water? Bolivian rams can cope with up to 10 german degrees. The downside with them is that they are very difficult to sex when young. Actually they are difficult when adult as well except when breeding.

My water is 8 so i hope they will flourish, we have notice some very interesting behavior that I've not seen before, they are pretty inseparable around the tank, we think the bigger of the two after close inspection is possibly a male and the smaller a female, I'm far from certain as i know how hard they can be to sex! They are doing a lot of mirror swimming and following each other around, so we will just wait and see what happens next.......

I once had bolivian rams. I bought the two most different ones in the shop and they turned out to be 2 males. While there was just the two of them, they got on fine. Then I found some in another shop which were much older and several had visible breeding tubes so I got 2 females. As soon as they went in the tank the males started attacking each other because they now had something to fight over.
Something to watch out for if you decide your two are males and you get more.

Using the german hardness mine is 18 unfortunately :(
