Nice sized tank; these fish do get big.

Do you plan on more plants (real or fake)? Discus can be quite shy and need places to hide.

Nice fish. I've recently got my first two discus, the mrs insisted, really she did  ;D . They are living in a 330 litre community tank with neons, harlequin rasboras, guppies, platies and a pair of golden britlle-nose plecos. I have a spare 90 litre tank that I'm think of moving the guppies / platies into to give the discus more room and to give the other fry a better chance of survival.

I would definitely move the guppies and platies as they don't really like the temps that discus need. The harlequins would like it cooler too, and if those are neons, so would they. If they are cardinals (can't quite tell from the photo), they are fine at discus temps.

I have the temp set to 27, bottom of the scale for the discus top for the others. I'm going to have to live with thet for a bit. They all seem happ enough. The platies are breeding like... wel platies...  :D so it can't be too bad.

Nevertheless I think you're right guys. I'm going to set up my small tank just for the guppies and platies. It will take a few weeks to cycle the tank. My heater just gave up the ghost so I'm off to buy a new one. I suspect it will be mid-May before I can do the move as I have to go away for about a week for a wedding in about 4 weeks so best if I leave the tank empty until I get back.
