Latest pics of the tank before and after pruning the Nymphae Lotus. The Crypts are coming back nicely and the Java Fern on the right is having a growth spurt.
I have managed to stabilise the CO2 output and now the Drop Checker is a consistent "Lime Green" which works out about 20 mg/l.
I have also reduced the light output slightly as I think this was the main contributor to my BBA outbreak.

Latest pic of the tank after a cutback of the Lily (removed a bucket of leaves).
Crypts and pygmy swords look OK as does the Java Fern.

Got to bite the bullet and redecorate the lounge. I’ll have to strip the tank down and relocate the fish. I’m thinking on using the Pond as their temporary abode. I can push the temperature up to 24C (currently 22) and gradually move them a few at a time over the next few weeks. I can also put the plants in some small pond baskets temporarily.
I have the Seneye monitoring the Pond so I can keep an eye on ammonia levels etc. I use the same water change routine on the Pond (50%) per week.
My only concern is the Cardinals, I might see if my LFS can look after them for a couple of weeks. Although if I leave them till last the temperature may well get above 24 anyway if it’s sunny.

I wouldnt worry about the cardinals being at 24 for a few day/weeks. They'll be just fine @daveyng

Sounds like a good plan :)

Good news, saw the GAFS this morning poking his fans out from under the bog wood filter feeding.
Attempted to take a picture (I’ll post this later). Lights were off so hopefully you might be able to discern the shape hidden amongst the pigmy chain swords.

Latest pic of tank and the obscure pic of the GAFS. You can just make out the front of the shrimp and the fans.

I have also got a small (30 litre) tank I can use for my Red Cherry Shrimp and some of the plants on bogwood. I can start setting that up son as well. I can use water from my daily changes to assist in seeding that. as well as the plants.

Water from water changes won't help seed the tank, there are virtually no filter bacteria in water. Plants will help enormously though.

Couple of pictures of the tank taken on the 19th of April.
Foreground plants have become well established and the Lily has just been pruned. The Java fern has grown well and has strands of Java moss protruding from it.
Apologies for the reflections in the glass. Tee-Shirt was a bit bright.
