Bamboo / Wood Shrimp

Hello All
I purchased a couple of Bamboo/Wood Shrimp about a month ago. They have settled in well with the other tank inhabitants and are currently firmly attached to Crypt leaves filter feeding.
I have attached a couple of pictures showing the duo feeding and a close up of one.
When I first purchased them one found this location and pretty much stayed there. The other one disappeared for a few days and I thought he/she had perished. Thankfully this wasn't the case and he/she has now joined the other at this spot in the tank.
I have also included a shot through the tank showing a couple of diamond tetras and other fish in the background with a rather bold cherry shrimp browsing to the left. I have a colony of these in the tank which spend most of their time breeding/browsing in a clump of Java Moss at the rear of the tank. The larger ones do occasionally come out to browse and the fish pretty much ignore them.

Great pictures.  8)

I was recently looking at bamboo shrimp at a LFS as was fascinated by the way they were feeding. I think they are great and I hope yours continue to do well in your tank.  :)

To be honest, I haven’t seen them for a while. They are a bit like the GAF in that they disappear for extended periods. There is a pile of driftwood in the centre of my tank, which you can’t usually see as it’s covered by a Anubias. I pruned it back hard recently and this may have ‘spooked’ them. They tend to be pretty skittish compared to Amano or the Cherry Shrimp.

I haven’t seen them for months @Littlefish. I am assuming they’ve perished. Although with the amount of hiding places in the bog wood structure and plants they may still be around.
I would have to decimate the tank to be sure.

Just thought I'd check, as I have a bit of a soft spot for bamboo shrimp.  :)
