Amazing And Awesome Fishtanks

Now that is just Aquascaping level: JEDI  right there... unbelievable! 

Ahhh Takashi Amano, his aquascapes were something else. Such a pity we lost him a few months ago.

It's good but avoid peak times and I've been on a school trip with my kids and I imagine the experience for the other entrants was not so pleasant (kids running amok ). The attraction is a rescue and rebab centre for marine wildlife but it's not a charity as I believe the people that own Madam Taussaudes in London own them too along with some other attractions across the UK. The entry fee is very high but our local paper has deals every year for family tickets or single entry if you collect half a dozen tokens. Usually at least 50% off and can be a lot more. 

Yes Sue, Takashi Amano was the master, just incredible.

But how many fish did Amano have in his tanks?? Hardly any.

It's very difficult to maintain both a "normal" number of fish and an aquascaped look to a tank. Most aquascaped tanks are taken apart and replanted after a year or so, to a different design.
The aim of Amano etc., was/is to produce something that looks like a landscape, with the shape of the plants creating the equivalent of hills, woods etc. While this may look "natural" it does not in any way resemble the actual habitat of any fish, the bottom of a pond or stream, which is usually pretty messy and looks nothing like a "designer" aquarium.
