Colin, it sounds like you know the kit Piggy uses with those multiplications  :)

Piggy - if you know what units the strips use, then you'll be able to compare them to the liquid testers. Use Colin's arithmetic to convert the liquid testers' results to either ppm or german deg, whatever the strips use.

Thank you Colin & Sue,

Yes Colin it's the nutrafin Kit,  I've had the Mini Kit for a while but just got the Master Kit today

That makes sense now so working the numbers back My GH reads 11.17 with Liquid and 10ish with the strip, KH is 5.028 with the liquid and 5ish with the strip  so not too bad really.  My rams are still doing fine  ;D
