Ready for fish?

I have been measuring my tank for a few days now and everything seems to be average for fish. I have no nitrites, very little ammonia (0.5mg/L)and the nitrates are still quite low (8ppm). Hardness is spot on (GH is 30 and my KH was roughly 40), pH appears to have levelled at around 7. I think I'm gonna measure for another day or two but would these levels be good enough to start moving fish from my other aquarium (two zebra danios there and moving embers or neons over first).

A fishless cycle can take anything up to
six to eight weeks to mature a filter i wouldnt
use neons i would use guppies or zebra danios
if your going to do a fish in cycle

Didn't you move some fish over already? Which ones have you moved?

I would move all the remaining fish from the 35 litre and at the same time move the rest of the media from the 35 litre. With the same fish and filter media it will make up any shortfall in bacteria quickly. It will be easier trying to keep the ammonia under control in a bigger volume - I remember you saying you'd taken in some fish making the small tank overstocked and were having problems with the water in that tank.

Thanks for all the help Sue, finally got around to doing the transfer over with all of my fish! Attached a picture with them all in and they all seem to be healthy and happy, so far. There are five guppies, five 'gold' neons, five ember tetras, one honey gourami and even though I haven't seen them yet there are three otos in there, just got to add some more when the tank is a bit more settled, maybe next weekend? I am thinking of adding one more red honey, three otos, two or three more of each tetra, maybe some more guppies and 6 panda corys. Does this sound like an acceptable sized community for the size of the tank (125L, 80cm long)?

That stocking sounds fine as long as you take it slowly. Don't get any more fish till your ammonia and nitrite have been at zero for several days.
