RO water shelf life

Just a quick question for those of you who use RO water – how long is the shelf life?

If I wanted to get, say 40 litres at a time to use 10 litres per water change, would the water remain usable for a month? How long does it keep for.

I asked this at my LFS and they said, as long as it's sealed, it should last a few weeks.

We used to drain and refill our emergency drinking water tanks every 3 months so would say RO water is good for a while.
