Hi. I have a 60 litre tropical tank with harlequins and tetras. Is a 12 inch air stone too big for the tank and do I keep it on all the time. I also have an internal filter. Thank you in advance for your advice.

Provided you have the filter running 24/7, it doesn't matter when the airstone is on or off. They are purely for decoration. It is only when the pump is also used to power a filter that it needs to be on all the time.

As for if a 12 inch airstone is too big, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that as I've never used an airstone.
