Title: Potassium strip test
Post by: Helen on November 04, 2017, 10:15:07 AM
Hi,

Because I have a Seneye, I have decided to go for strip tests for measuring nitrates and hardness.

I was sent potassium strip tests in error with my most recent order. They seem to be a new product, so I wondered if anyone had used or heard anything about them?

I think it is one of the tests marine fish keepers use. It seems they need to test for a lot more than freshwater tanks, though potassium is not among the main 9 things they test for. And those who dose lots of plant fertiliser would use it to make sure they are dosing the right amount of potassium.

That's interesting. The box I've got clearly says only for freshwater.

But, I did also order plants at the same time.

I'd been thinking about whether to get a potassium test, but they don't seem to be particularly prevalent. Anyway, I won't be sending it back. 😉
