Due to problems with my heater failing and temperature rising uncontrollably, I have bought a new heater for my Biorb 30. I read that the Biorb heaters often had this overheating issue so I bought a non-biorb one but made sure it was under 20cm as my tank is small.
I bought an Aquael easyheater 50:

The problem I have is that although it is roughly the same length as the biorb heater (though wide/flat as opposed to cylindrical), I can't attach it via the suction cups to the tank wall it just can't get close enough to the sides. I need a way of bringing it out from the wall.
Has anyone any bright ideas, I'm fresh out of them.
