Lid Condensation Problem

Hi
I am very pleased with my secondhand Rena cube tank apart from the (aluminium?) lid.  Whenever I lift it off for WC there's all condensation on the inner side so water dribbles all over the lighting, floor, etc.  It's quite big (52x52cm) & altho' it's flat, it's awkward to handle when it's so wet. So I was wondering about either making a new lid or buying one.  Any suggestions please?

I have the same problem Sunshine with my hood.  I try to drain as much back into the tank as I can when I'm lifting it off but it still gathers and then trickles.
I have a set of three tea towels that I keep with my fishy stuff (other half knows NEVER to use them for drying up!).
I put one of these on the floor and prop the hood on it while I do the changes.  The towel gets damp but at least my carpet stays drier.

Thanks Cod, Sanjo & Skittler.  Sorry for the delay in replying - had my op.  I'll have a think about a condensation try, Cod - I didn't know about them.  At the moment I'm doing the same as you Sanjo & Skittler.   

Yes, I was thinking that when I checked it today, Sue.  The lights are quite low so couldn't have anything between them and the water.  Oh well, will have to think of Plan B.  It will do for the moment, I'm in no rush.  Thanks.
