Fluval Flex 57

I am contemplating buying a new fish tank to replace my 37 litre one. The problem being is i have limited space to fit in the gap between the stair newel post and wall W 48cm D 38cm.

I have been looking at  the fluval flex 57 litre because this will give me more fish options than the 37 litre, So i'm wondering if anyone knows about these or has had this tank in the past.

The only flaw in the reviews that i can see is the intake at the back by the filter has big holes where the smaller fish and shrimp can get in. but fluval do an internal filter guard.

Also if anybody knows of another make of that size i'm looking for that would be great.

The flex is a gorgeous tank - and unless you get a cube tank of the right dimensions I cant actually think of something of similar dimensions of that size...

This https://www.completeaquatics.co.uk/aquarium-accessories/aquarium-tanks-and-cabinets?extra_aquarium_size=706 is quite a good website for checking out tanks of various sizes - this is the link to the 36-80 litre range. Skimming through it, the other contenders might be the AquaOne AquaNano40 55-litre (40x40x40) cube, or else the various 48-litre ones (smaller overall capacity) such as AquaOne AquaVue 48L (48x29 footprint), Interpet FishPod (48x39 footprint) or Interpet RiverReef (41.5x38.5 footprint). However, with those of a 48 length, you would be running a risk that it doesn't quite squeeze in or leave room for squeezing your hand along the side of it to mop up condensation running down the side of the tank, for example. Therefore, I think the Fluval Flex is as good an option as any. ND Aquatics has a good reputation for custom-made aquariums/aquaria but no doubt they are consequently expensive.

Thank you very much Matt & Thank you fcmf for all those suggestions' I have had a good look at all of them and it seems the best one overall is the fluval flex.

I've been looking everywhere for a tank with the dimensions to fit in the space i have, and after having a good look around i think the aquanano 40 is the best looking with the only flaw being the filter inlet where small fish and shrimp can get sucked in.

I had a good look at the flex and found several flaw's i did't like' the curved glass with a horrible grey seal, plus the remote control with all the colours is to much of a gimmick. I asked myself do you need all those colours and the flash of lightning mode.It seem's it's not really aimed at the fishes well being but more of a show off to friends look what it can do type of thing.I also noticed the glass was very thin and especially on the curved front.

The aqua one nano 40 is much more classy & sleek with no gimmicks' and with just one white led light and integrated filter & heater.

they also do the oak unit to match my juwel 180.

So this will be my new tank after my operation.

thanks matt & thank's fcmf for that link with the aqua one's
