Title: plant eating buenos aires tetras help.
Post by: daniel_james_taylor on June 03, 2013, 09:34:41 PM
Hi all,

I have 4 buenos aires tetras who have eaten to the point of no return my Bolbitus heudelotii that was attached to my drift wood. I have replaced this with java fern in the hope they won't eat it too. They have also taken a fancy to my Pogostemon helferi which is hanging in there but not for long I fear.

Is there a carpet plant that they will normally leave alone that could replace the Pogostemon helferi ??????

Thanks,

Dan

Its years since i had any BATs but if i remember correctly they didn't eat the Java Fern, or Java Moss.

It may be trial and error, try different ones until you find some they don't eat.  Try some glossostigma and see what happens
