Title: Name of protective material around base of plants
Post by: fcmf on April 15, 2023, 08:38:33 AM
Does anyone know what that white strip of protective material is that is wrapped around the base of a bunch of plants to protect them from the metal plant weight wrapped around it?  NB. It's not the rockwool that is around the base of potted plants.
[When rolled out, it's ideally sized, and much better than filter wool, for blocking the gaps between the back of the filter and the tank wall - but it would be helpful to know what it's called.]  Thanks.

Edited 17/04/23 to add: @Hampalong or @Matt - you two might be best-placed to help.

Been a while since I’ve bought new plants actually! But my guess would be filter floss?

You're a star, @Matt - that's the very stuff. Now that I know what it's called, I'll order some so that I can ensure any gaps around the main tank's filter are 'sealed' in prep for when the embers are moved in. Thanks.
