Has anyone seen the live Moss balls being sold by Pets at Home? Would they serve any purpose other than for decoration?

Moss balls are actually a form of algae They are reputed to remove nitrate from the tank as well as look interesting. Whether they actually do this or not I can't say from personal experience. I've had moss balls but because my tapwater has very low nitrate, my tanks don't have high nitrate either.
