Lighting For Plant Growth

I don't think root tabs will help as your plants are not rooted in the gravel.

That's a good point - I'd missed the start of this thread stating that the plants were attached to rocks/bogwood. Fail!!   

As a partial attempt at recovery, I can at least confirm that my java fern were the plants which seemed to benefit most from my new lighting - the leaves we're a quite dull olive colour with black blotches but once the new lighting was installed all new growth was a nice vibrant green 

Next time I'll try to read messages more thoroughly!
