Anubias Nano Bonzai

Hi,
Bought some of these today. I was looking for small foreground plants as I have a 4 inch wide strip at the front of my tank.

It was all the LFS had that did not need C02.

I did try and tie them to small rocks that I have along the front, but I am afraid my age has caught up with me, and my varifocals and chubby fingers were unable to tie them on.

I have done my best to plant them with as much of the rhizome above the gravel as possible but not sure that I have succeeded in my efforts.

Will these just rot away? or just slow the slow growing plants even more?

I did try bands, but the only ones I had were the ones that I get when I buy fish etc, and they are like garters
Also at the front of the tank they stood out like a sore thumb.

I will see if the wife can get some small bands from the local newsagent, and have a go if they stock them, although will be a couple of rocks short, but will work it out if she can get the bands.
