Worth highlighting the need for proper disposal if anyone has these plants... cabomba and elodea are mentioned

The specific species of elodea is not the most common elodea densa but it’s worth noting the curly leaves of the invasive variety and avoiding this plant.

Regarding the cabomba, this is a relatively common aquascaping plant but again there are different species and their harder to tell apart the caroliniana and aquatica. My go-to supplier Tropica sell the ”right” one.

The ‘Elodea’ that is banned (already) is ‘Elodea crispa’ (Lagarosiphon major) which is the dark green one which used to be sold for ponds. The lighter green ‘Elodea densa’ (Egeria densa) sold for tropical tanks isn’t banned...

Agreed, it’s going to be very difficult to identify and distinguish some of these plants... just look at the trouble some shops have identifying fish... and of course it won’t be policed at hobbyist level...
