Title: Betta jumping
Post by: Betta2020 on January 18, 2020, 01:13:28 PM
Hi I'm planning on getting a betta for my fluval flex. It will be a short finned variety. One concern I have is that the lid has a rectangle opening. It's approx 8.5cm x 2.5cm. I've heard that bettas are good jumpers but I don't know how good. Should I be worried about this opening?

Perhaps cut some coarse filter sponge to fit the gap. That would easily be removed at feeding time.  :)

I imagine all Betta's have unique personalities but mine is definately not a jumper, she lives in an open top, rimless aquarium in our hall. She did jump once but this was at feeding time.
