Title: Returning from extinction - Tequila fish
Post by: Matt on December 29, 2021, 06:26:34 AM
Here’s a nice story about Chester Zoo working with the Goodeid Working Group to return a species to the wild which was thought to be extinct in 2013 having suffered from human pollution. The Tequila fish is a livebearer which was endemic to an area of Mexico which shares a volcano of the same name. It lives in Clearwater ponds and is oddly carnivorous for a livebearing species. (I’ve got most of that info from SeriouslyFish ;) )
