Another interesting article - but have to purchase it to read it in its entirety. Nevertheless, the abstract is worth a read and gives the gist of it and the findings.

The conclusions of both studies say this, basically...

“Methods of handling that allow the fish to remain submerged in water are likely to reduce exertion, anoxia, stress and physical damage.”

Sorry - I posted the incorrect tweet in the other post, but have subsequently included the correct tweet.

Anyway, yes, for the "Capturing fish" study, you're correct in that best to keep fish submerged in water when capturing them.
