Title: Snail Identification?
Post by: jesnon on November 11, 2013, 09:36:28 AM
Potentially these little guys snuck in with my new fish.  There's two I've spotted, much larger than my usual snails. The shells are golden / yellow

It is quite hard to see from the pic. Is it a flat spiral or more of a cylinder?
If it's the cyclinder-ish one, google tadpole snail and bladder snail see if they look the same.
The flat spiral ones are some type of ramshorn snail (there are lots of species from a couple of mm to a couple of inches) I have the tiny ones in my tanks, I gave up trying to get rid of them years ago.

He looks very similar to either the tadpole or bladder snail. Thanks as always Sue!
