Title: Plec.
Post by: Lellynelly on May 02, 2015, 05:22:37 PM
Hi all. It can't upload a photo, it tells me its too big - even if I do it on my phone!!
I have a large kind of Plec, it's about 11 inches long from nose to tip of tail, and has a kind of swirly liney pattern, not dots. The usual kind of 2 tone brown colour. I can't find one like it in any of my books. Any suggestions?

The problem is that there are a lot of plecs. Have you tried looking at images on planetcatfish? You need to search L numbers, though they run to L474 then jump to L600. The website does show thumbnails for each species to make it quicker. Start here (http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/numbers.php?mode=l&thumbs=100&offset=0&genus_id=0)
