As I have probably said my whiptail is rineloricaria fallax, I am still unsure. @Littlefish asked for a pic and I need @hampalong and @Sue to help identify. Picture is here! https://goo.gl/photos/zW2QTVpg4Vd9NKbT9

There are just too many whiptails to be sure from that photo.

The easiest thing to do is to go here and go through the photos till you find one that matches. As you have the fish in front of you, it'll be easier for you than for us to try from one photo.

I have noticed that planetcatfish use Hemiloricaria fallax rather than Rineloricaria fallax. According to Seriously Fish the name was changed to that in 2002, then changed back a few months later.

Nice looking fish.  :)
He's quite a bit broader at the front than I expected, though that may just be the angle of the photo. I had a look through the pictures in the link that Sue provided, but couldn't see one that matched yours. More photos from different angles would be useful.
Obviously, almost as soon as I opened the link, my eye was drawn to the "knobnose whiptail catfish".  :o  :rotfl:
Sorry, sense of humour will never grow out of this silly fish names phase.
