Celestial Pearl Danio / Galaxy Rasbora

I was admiring the example which appears as one of the rotating banner images on the homepage of this site and so looked it up on the Fish Profile fishfinder.

I was extremely surprised when, during my last visit to my LFS they had just received a consignment of these little beauties. They were selling them as Galaxy Rasboras. They also had a shoal in one of their show tanks and they looked superb in a heavily planted environment.

They told me they were captive bred and in fact they say that it's quite rare for them to stock wild-caught fish nowadays.

I am now definitely considering adding some of these to my community tank.

I notice I can't add these to my tank in the Community Builder.
Presumably, due to captive breeding, these are no longer as scarce as they once were ... ?

Are there any plans to add these to the Community Builder?

This fish has had many names since it was discovered a few years ago. Maidenhead Aquatics used to sell it as firework rasbora. And it's had several Latin names as well.
This is what happens when a new fish is rushed out into shops before the taxonomists have had time to look at it.

They are obviously very easy to breed as I have half a dozen (at least) baby ones in my tank which appeared a few weeks ago. I suspect the filamentous algae was probably the saviour of the eggs.
