White cloud swollen belly

I'm going to try and post a pic.

This is one of my White clouds.  I don't know what's wrong.  She has usually got the V shaped belly (as does another and a couple of my Glowlight Danios so I have always assumed they were female but have never seen young, presuming that any would have been eaten.

I have never seen her like this and I think one of the other females is similar though not as bad as this.

Any ideas on what I should be doing? I'm going away this week

I don't like the look of that  :(

I would separate her if possible and watch her until just before you go away. If she is still alive, you will then need to make the decision whether to leave her there or put her down before you leave  :-\

Thanks Sue, I didn't think it could be normal.
She seems to swim OK although she didn't rush for any food today.
Will sort out the hospital tank and isolate her.
Thanks again

The swelling seems to have gone down quite a bit. Yesterday the swelling was such that from one side you could see what appeared to be a vent.  It's straighter this morning and the vent hole is no longer showing. She is still swimming OK and when I put a crushed up pea in the water she actually went for  a bit of that.  I'm going away for a week on Friday and was going to get a neighbour to feed a couple of times. I'm out today so will see what she is like tomorrow and if she is still showing sign of swelling I shall isolate her in the quarantine tank so my neighbour won't have as much trouble fishing her out if she dies.
I have another WCMM which is also very swollen round the belly area, a more extreme "V" than usual so I~ just hope she doesn't go the same way.

Is that V shaped belly normal for the breed? I've looked at them in my LFS and don't recall seeing any looking like that.

I have a few female WCMM and Glowlight Danios and they all have a V shape compared to the males.
It's just that this week I noticed this particular WCMM had an extreme shape with this gaping vent. She does seem better today although still a little "droopy" underneath. She's active enough

I think your idea of feeding pea has been a good idea. From experience with goldfish, often the fish ended up ingesting sand while foraging or getting a "blockage" due to too much flake/pellet food, and a crushed pea can induce a "clearout" of the blockage if indeed something like this has happened or is playing any part in whatever is wrong.

Also think your idea of keeping the fish isolated as you're doing, and possibly the other fish too, is a wise move.
