Title: Strange red patch on the side of my new clown loach

This afternoon, I bought 6 new clown loaches and when I put them in the tank I noticed that one of them has a large red patch on its side (see picture). The rest of the fish are fine. Does anyone know what this red patch is?

It alsmost looks like a black patch with not enough pigment in it. Does it behave OK? If it does, I would put it down to it being just part of its colour pattern.
