Slime Coat on Discus

Does Prime Water Conditioner Protect the Slime Coat on Discus or do you need some other Solution to go in the tank with Prime Conditioner.?

I won't use any dechlorinator that claims to 'stimulate the slime coat'. Aloe vera, for example, is not good for fish. Others use different chemicals, some of which coat the fish's gills.

Fish don't need anything for their slime coat with the possible exception of if the skin has been damaged due to rough handling by the fishkeeper/shop while netting them.
