Hi
I read something quite interesting about bettas . If there fins get too long they can bite them to ease their swimming , like giving themselves a haircut !
They are fascinating little fish !

I know that some bettas are tail biters, but most people put it down to them being bored like tigers kept in cages spending all their time pacing up and down.

I wonder if certain tail types are more prone to tail biting? Some bettas, such as rose tails, do have a lot of fin to carry round compared to, say, a delta tail.
