Title: Plec Behaviour?
Post by: butlj on October 24, 2012, 09:51:17 PM
We have a plec that has completely rearranged the gravel in the tank. It has stacked the gravel up at both sides of the tank leaving the base tray exposed. The plecs in my other tank have never done this, has anyone got any suggestions as to why it is doing it? It is quite flighty, even though it has a cave to hide in.  If we put the gravel back it pulls it out again. Any suggestions as to why it is doing it or how to stop it would be much appreciated. Many Thanks

Yep i would say it is quite normal behaviour for plecs. My bristlenose often does it to create caves under wood and stones. Also i recently picked up 3 new l260plecs and they have had a good rumage in the sand creating pathways. I also often see the digging or fanning the sand.
