Hi Vampy76,

Was sad to see no one had answered your post so thought I would at least enquire how your fish is?  I hope you have solved the mystery and that he is all ok now. Sympathies to you if this is not the case.

I am new to fish keeping and have very limited knowledge of the hobby but on looking at your photo my first thought was that he is very underweight.  (stating the obvious maybe!!??)

I found this link and wondered if you had tried asking for help on this site as they specialise in catfish. (apologies if it is not the done thing on here to suggest other sites for help/research - let me know if I'm not observing forum etiquette and I'll comply in future!)

I was completely at a loss with this disease, fish health is not my strong point I'm afraid.

Now that fishcake has pointed it out, I agree the plec does look underweight. I wonder if it had a bacterial infection of some sort  ???

Fishcake, I have checked with Robert on linking to other sites and he says this kind of link is fine. I've given links to planetcatfish in the past as they are the experts on these fish.
