Title: my sailfin plec looks moldy

i took on my sisters plec because he got too big for her tank. from the top he looks healthy enough but his belly looks moldy what do you think this could be. he lives on his own so could it be stress?

We'll need pictures and/or a better description of the problem to be able to help, I'm afraid. 'Looks mouldy' is far too vague.
