Mouth Rot

I kept fish previously for 5 years.  In that time I had one danio with a freaky tumour and a multiple death scenario where I lost 8 fish in a day.  There was something in the water.  After that I used cheap bottled water from ASDA and got some funny looks for buying 2 dozen at a time!

Anyway, I never experienced a diseased fish in 5 years.  I've had 6 checkered barbs for about a month, and on Monday I noticed that one of the males had a lovely white moustache!!  A couple of minutes on Google threw up mouth rot as a probable thing.  Lovely!  So... I put in an Interpet treatment and a dose of Aquilibrium last night.  I hope it works!  Fingers crossed.

So, after a week long treatment my barb's moustache seems to have gone.  However, I don't know what mouth rot is supposed to look like once it's cleared up.  He still has a white line round his mouth, which could be scar tissue, or could be that the mouth rot hasn't been successfully treated.  Does anyone have any experience of what "treated" mouth rot looks like?
