Title: Ember Tetra being a bit of a separatist
Post by: naughtymoose on October 30, 2014, 12:25:55 PM
I've got 7 Ember Tetras in my 40L.
3 from Maidenhead and then 4 from Pets at Home.

One of the P. at H. fish doesn't school very often, is quite a bit bigger than the others and spends a lot of time lurking in the plants.

I'm wondering if 'it' is a 'she', and she is carrying eggs?

Any suggestions welcomed.

Ooo! This sounds just like one of my Glowlight Tetras!!  We call her 'Big Mama' as she is massive compared to the others. she can usually be found hiding under the drift wood but she comes out to eat and does occasionally have a swim about with the others. i'd say as long as she seems healthy, it might just be that she prefers her own company. You know what women can be like!!!!! :P

Fishcake,

Yes. Just so long as she doesn't get all moody...
