hi, just had a platy die of dropsy,do i need to put in any medication in my tank or will the others be ok, no sign of any others having symptoms of dropsy..  thanks

Dropsy is a symptom of an underlying disease and the problem arises with working out what the underlying disease is in order to treat it. And if that disease is viral it can't be treated.
In the absence of any other symptoms, I would watch and wait for now.

I've done so well this last year only losing 3 fish and don't want to go through losing them all again so i will keep my eye on them , thanks sue  :fishy1:
