Hi I bought some live bloodworms and got more than what I thought, how long can I keep them before they die off? And if there are any dead ones when I feed them will this harm the fish, I have them in a small tub in my garage in a small amount of water, do I need to change the water?

There are always more worms that there look in bag. Even more so with frozen cubes.
I wouldn't feed any worms that look dead. I don't know if it matters but I wouldn't like to feed decomposing worms to my fish. As for how long they will live, I'm afraid I don't know.
This is one reason I use frozen cubes; provided you chop enough off the cube for 1 meal, you don't have to worry about keeping the worms.

feed what you need to your fish then freeze the rest till you need them
