Title: How often should I feed them?
Post by: Cazzybaby on May 24, 2014, 10:01:21 AM
Is every other day standard ? One fish person I spoke to said he fed four times a day, some every other day or every day. Some websites say twice a day. 😬

There does seem to be a lot of conflicting advice doesn't there?  :-\

I personally feed my fish nearly every day, with one or two "starve" days each week to encourage them to pick up any left over food.

I'm interested to see what other do though.

I tend to feed twice a day but I feed different things for example I feed flake before I go to work which some fish are happy but my loaches don't feed in the day so I feed pellets or blood worm just before bed and there quite happy to feed on it then both feeds are very low amounts abd generally both feeds are gone quite quickly

The only 'golden rule' with feeding really is just to make sure you don't overfeed. I tend to mix it up a bit rather than stick to a specific feeding pattern.
