I have a tiger pleco and a gold nugget pleco also a normal pleco In a 5 ft tank with my discus and other community fish they about 2-3 inches they hide most of the time what do you feed them on and how often do you feed them I have been told by my LFS that frozen Bloodworm is good for them but defrost it first is this the best way what is your advice I also got Novo Pleco Tabs made by JBL :fishy1:

I only have a bristlenose and a blue-eyed ancistrus at the moment, and both are still quite young/small.
They have lots of bogwood in the tank, and I feed them mainly on Hikari algae wafers, some pellets for bottom feeders, and algae which I grow on rocks in a small tank on a sunny windowsill. I feed them once a day generally, but they seem to keep themselves comfortable when I miss a day occasionally
When they were other tanks they also had access to tropical flakes and bloodworm, which they also ate if any sank as far as the bottom of the tank. Harry (the bristlenose) was in a tank with hatchets and tetra, but had to be moved when the penguin tetra started to get nippy. Bae (the BAE) was moved out of the barb tank for the same reason.
Blanched vegetables such as cucumber, courgette, etc. are good, and to make them sink you can use plant weights (check for sharp edges) or stick the handle of a teaspoon through the veg. I've also seen clips online of plecos eating cucumber floating at the top of the tank, which was so entertaining.
I really like plecos and lots of catfish, so plan to get some more when I get the bigger tanks.

Gold Nuggets want a mainly herbivorous diet with some higher protein foods. Depending on what your tiger Plec is, it could be a Peckoltia, which have a similar diet, or a wood eating Panaqolus, which needs a herbivorous diet + wood, or a Hypancistrus, which are strict carnivores.
