Title: Defrosted Frozen Fish Food
Post by: notungz on July 02, 2015, 02:06:37 PM
Hi All.

I have just had an 18 hour power cut. Obviously my freezer defrosted itself and I was wondering about my frozen fish food.

I know that normal food can't be frozen again after it has defosted. I'm unemployed and a pauper, so luckily I didn't lose much of my own food. However I was wondering if the same applies to fish food. Do I need to throw it away or can I refreeze it? It is Daphnia, Artemia and Cyclops if it makes any difference.

Thanks in advance,
Ian.

Hmmmm, not sure I'd risk it as it would have started to go off like human's food at room temp, especially with the current heatwave.

Thanks Sue.

I think you are probably correct (Aren't you always?). I won't risk it.
