Baby Brine Shrimp

I have no idea how small they are but would it be possible to sieve them through a piece of fine fabric, eg a handkerchief, suspended in something the size of a tea strainer? That's the technique I use for sieving my husband's elderflower champagne into bottles, though admittedly on a larger scale (he makes 8 pints at a time)

You can buy brine shrimp nets. Instead of netting with holes they are very close mesh - more like a net curtain. But a stocking would work just as well. Or at least, the toe of one or a knee high sock.
