Which tropical fish can live with goldfish?
Other questions asked that are similar: what tropical fish can live with goldfish?
Tropical fish and goldfish cannot be kept together.
Common goldfish (those with single tails) are cold water fish; fancy goldfish (those with double tails) are temperate fish. They need water cooler than can be tolerated by tropical fish.
If tropical fish are kept in a cold or temperate water tank, they will be too cold and will become sick and die. And if goldfish are kept in a tropical tank, their metabolisms will be speeded up and they will live a shortened life.
Goldfish, both common and fancy, are large fish. They will grow large enough to eat all but the largest tank mates, so keeping temperate fancy goldfish with small temperate fish such as white cloud mountain minnows will not work long term.
Fancy goldfish are slow swimmers, hampered by their foreshortened body shapes and double tails. If kept with fast swimming fish, they will not be able to compete for food with the other fish.
