Will be very surprised if any survive more than another week. They tend to scatter and parents can't protect them. havn't got another tank to put them in , and catching them in a heavily planted tank would cause chaos. if i can get away with purchasing a breeding tank i might transfer the parents,as they tend to breed every couple of months

No fry left     Parents did so well. Breeding net bought for next time,if the fry survive being sucked up by large pipette

Which of the other tank inhabitants do you think was the worst offender in terms of predation? Do you think that was the problem?

I have to admit that I am a little surprised none of your fry survived because I think you have quite a well planted tank. I was watching this thread with interest because I have been considering Kribensis for my planted tank. And I kind of assumed that a planted tank would offer enough hiding places for the odd fry to succeed in avoiding the predators.

How have the parents taken the total loss of their fry? I guess that with them being so protective, they might be stressed. Have they attacked any of your other fish in the tank?

Over the years, apistogrammas, peacock gudgeons, Bolivian rams and honey gouramis have bred in my tanks, but the fry have only survived when they were alone in the tank. With the apistos, I put the parents into the 60 litre tank I had then, and once the eggs were laid I removed the father as I knew he was an egg eater. The female looked after the fry very well - until the tank started to leak and I had to move the fry into a 25 litre quarantine tank. Just 5 fry made it to adulthood.
All the fry that hatched in the community tank were eaten - but mainly the eggs were eaten long before they could hatch.

All calm in tank .Kribs behaving themselves. Female starting to plump up again. Fry got to wandering and parents had trouble keeping grouped together. With 6 gouramis in tank and 3 bristlenose plus 14 corys and various others, I was bit surprised they lasted as long as they did.The bristlenose don't tend to move for anyone.Should be new batch in about  5 weeks time if previous experience is anything to go by.
