Hi All I have a pair of Blue Turquoise Discus which keep at each other their about 5 inches and 4 inches the bigger one is at the smaller one they both have laid eggs in the past one more than one occasion and eat them I have been told their are both Females after putting Pictures on the Internet.
I Have never had this problem with these two before only the last few days.
I have 8 other discus in the same Tank and one Blue diamond keeps chasing them to.
They also got this Flickering Motion between them both, Side to side to each other and they go Nose to Nose at each other, I have done no other changes to the Tank or add any more Fish.
Any Help to this Problem.

Discus are cichlids so aggressive behaviour at some point is only to be expected. The flicking you see sounds like two fish sizing each other up.

I do wonder if the blue diamond is male and the two females are vying for 'favourite female' status with the male.

I have to admit that I've never kept discus, just admired them from afar, though I have kept dwarf cichlids. I would be inclined to see if you can find a specialist discus forum and see what they think.

@Peterhill26 What you describe is typical Cichlid behaviour and the are trying to intimidate the other into backing down. You will probably also see them make a short charge at eash other and if it gets worse they will start to make contact If it gets to the point where they lip lock or one looks like it is suffering from stress or they are physically damaging eash other then it's time to take action. What you can try is to create some visual breaks with decor (unless you have a bare tank) so one can retreat if they want and they don't see the other wherever they are in the tank. This may allow them to claim a territory and restrict the aggression to that area - but I have also seem people suggest that allowing fish territories also promotes aggression and the solution is larger numbers of fish. This sounds risky to me and will create a massive water maintenance issue for you
