Title: Unread posts since last visit
Post by: Richard W on June 18, 2016, 04:44:32 PM
I keep in touch with the forum by using the "Show unread posts since last visit" link. However, I'm just coming up to my busy work period when I may not be able to visit for a few days. With the increased activity on the forum, that can result in dozens of "undead" (deliberate mistake) posts, most of which I don't really want to read. The only way to clear the list is to select them one by one, which can take quite a while. I was wondering if there is some way of producing a method to clear our unread posts list??

Not sure Richard.

I'll take a look at the docs later and see if there's a way. Mark all threads dead (read) would be a handy option.

Leave it with me

Once you have read the posts you have interest in, there is a "mark all messages as read" button at the bottom of the list which will take care of any remaining "undead" posts you don't fancy reading.

It's been refreshing to see a spike in activity.

Just wondering whether it would be possible to add the "forum info centre" bit from the forum homepage to the unread messages page so you can see if there are any other active members at the time and whether its worth refreshing the page before logging off? 8)
