Eheim StreamON+ 2000 Circulation Pump

Hi Folks,

I bought an Eheim StreamON+ 2000 Circulation Pump a few months ago. What a disappointment! According to the blurb, this is supposed to be 'Extremely quiet' - nonsense! There are two problems with it that can cause considerable noise as follows:

[1] It has a magnetic attachment to fix it to an aquarium panel which, in principle, is a great idea. But it couples motor vibration to the panel and vibration means - you guessed it - noise!

[2] To cap it off, the motor propeller strikes the flow mechanism when it is set to minimum flow. What a racket! As such, the unit that I have is completely unusable at minimum flow.

This is all the more disappointing and unexpected as Eheim has a good reputation. So, beware!
