Assassin Snails Eggs

Last week I introduced 3 assassin snails to my tank, this week eggs like the ones in the piccy have appeared all over my dwark grass. I googled assassin snail eggs and found that piccy as the nearest match.

Will they need any special care if/when they hatch and how can I avoide syphoning them out of my tank when I clean the gravel?

I'm ridiculously excited about it  ;D

I think you won't know you have babies until they grow a bit bigger as they hide in the substrate. They will find food for themselves; if you are worried grind some food to powder as they will eat commercial food without other snails to eat.

As for cleaning the tank, you could use my method with the tank that has cherry shrimps. Go through the old water with a jug, checking each jugful carefully for signs of life. It takes twice as long to clean that tank as it should  ::)

Congratulations on your (soon to be) new arrivals!!

Assassin snails are obviously quite often bought for their assassination skills but I think they're lovely looking snails in their own right.
