hey all yall, did yall have a good turkey day?well i being fish obsessed am planning to add 4 new 10 gallon fish tanks to let me get a lot of diversity(crayfish, planted with cardinal tetras, shrimp tank, snail tank).and i found a place on my dresser(with a 20 gallon high already on it)and i found out that i can put the tank on the dresser but the top of the dresser curves like a bow front tank so a little bit of the tank will hang off by about an inch.will this break the tank or make the tank bend downward over a period of time?i dont want my inhabitants(or tank) to be in any danger.

Hi Brian

I reckon that it would be best to put a piece of plywood or something similar underneath the glass bottom.

Hi brian,

I agree with Moose. You can see from this photo that I had a similar problem with my 54 litre tank. I just got a piece of pine cut to size at our local DIY shop and then painted it white to match the unit. It is about an inch bigger than the tank on all sides.

I can take mote pics if you like!

A board of some sort under that tank is what you need as the others have said. The thing to be cardful about is that whatever you use doesn't fall apart when wet over a period of time.

well i know i should do that but now that i moved my 20 high to the very edge the black that is hanging off is less than the width of my pinkie finger,if it's that little is it still necessary?

I wouldn't risk even a tiny bit of overhang, but that might be just me being over cautious.

well there is still one way.i have a big mirror right behind my dresser that has water stains like you would not believe.i could put in a few more nails a bit higher so i could hang it higher.or i could pull the dresser out real nice and slowly so i can push the tank to the very back of the dresser.(the frame of the mirror sticks out about 2 or 3 inches
