Bearing in mind the nature of the assassins, would they be compatible with nerites? I want to put some nerites in the big tank to help out with algae but I'd hate for them to get eaten

Hi Fiona,
I was in exactly the same scenario as you a couple of months ago. I really wanted nerites in my tank but was worries my assassins would eat them. At £3 a pop at my LFS I wasn't willing to take the risk. I then spotted a shop on eBay selling 5 nerites for £6 delivered or 10 for under £10. At that price I went for it! The small horned nerite never moved and I'm sure was DOA, however I did lose 1 of the nerites that initially seemed fine. The other 3 are still alive and well and don't seem to get pestered by the assassin snails. If you want to pick certain nerites at a store I'd recommend going for larger ones.
FYI search Neritina on eBay to find the seller I did. Also got a couple of bonus snails, I think its called a devil snail and an MTS.

I've just ordered 10 of these from the EBay seller, they are so much cheaper than other sellers, on Bay or anywhere else. Waiting to see what I get .............

I have no idea how they are so cheap. I got a good variety of sizes and colours when I ordered. I hope you're pleased with your order too!

I've got 4 large ones in the tank with my betta but he flares at them whenever he sees them and I'm sure it's not good he's flaring all the time. I'll bung em in the big tank with the assassins and see what happens. Thanks Cod
